Mon 15 Mar 2010: Taliesin

Formerly known as Wasps in the Woodshed, this group is currently re-forming. Specialising mainly in traditional material with Celtic leanings, their voices blend with a variety of instruments to produce good harmonies and fine entertainment.

Mon 5 Apr 2010 (Easter Monday): Singaround

Singers, musicians and audience welcome (free admission).

Mon 19 Apr 2010: Lynne Heraud and Pat Turner

Always a favourite at the club. Two voices join in superb harmony, with traditional and self-penned songs, both serious and humorous.

Mon 17 May 2010: Sarah McQuaid

Currently living in far west Cornwall, but with roots in Ireland and America, her superb voice and guitar playing promises an evening of predominately traditional music. (Photo: Chris Stanbury)

Mon 7 Jun 2010: Pete Coe

Multi-instrumentalist, one of the finest performers on the current folk scene with traditional songs augmented by skilfully crafted self-penned ones. Not many singers can sing, play and step-dance simultaneously!

Mon 21 Jun 2010: Bob Kenward

One of the best known and most popular singer-songwriters in the south-east, we are lucky to have him as a resident, but he well deserves a full evening of his own from time to time. Nostalgic, humorous and thought provoking songs.

Mon 5 Jul 2010: Barber & Taylor

Well known at clubs and festivals throughout the south east, they specialise in Americana and contemporary folk, with a variety of instruments and voices blending in harmony.

Mon 19 Jul 2010: Steve Turner

Beautifully crafted vocals, with and without English Concertina or string accompaniment. After some years' absence from the folk scene it is good to welcome him back. He certainly made an impact last time!

Mon 2 Aug 2010: Terrifany (Terry & Stephanie King)

Lively talented local performers whose voices blend well. Add some musical input and touches of dry humour and an enjoyable evening is guaranteed.

Mon 16 Aug 2010: Jeff Warner

Son of Anne and Frank Warner, who were pioneer collectors, Jeff is well known on both sides of the Atlantic for his well honed performances of traditional American music. An experience not to be missed! (Photo: Peter Heywood)
